How do I reserve a moonwalk? You can give us a call at (716)228-1939. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. How far in advance should I make my reservation? We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible. Moonwalks are reserved on a first-come first-served basis. Since moonwalks are becoming an extremely popular form of entertainment, we can book-up weeks or even months in advance. Do you require a deposit? Yes. To secure one of our moonwalks for your next event, a $50.00 deposit is required. However, if a cancellation is necessary due to inclement weather, or is within 7 days of your event, your deposit will be fully refunded. Yards of Fun reserves the right to cancel an event that we feel is not safe or has the potential to cause damage to our equipment. The deposit is refundable in the rare event that this should occur. When is payment due? Full payment in cash, check or money order is due upon deliver of the moonwalk. How long is my rental period? Drop-off time: Between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Pick-up time: Between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Yards of Fun rents on an “all-day” basis based upon the timeframes listed above. We ask the customer their preference in drop-off and pick-up times and do our best to accommodate requests. Can I cancel my rental? Yes, a rental can be cancelled. Please give a 7 day notice of your cancellation and your deposit will be refunded. What is the policy in the case of rain or high winds? If the local weather forecast is calling for rain or winds of 25 mph or more on your reserved day, and both you and Yards of Fun agree before delivery that it may be unsafe to use, then we will cancel the rental. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE MOONWALK IS SET-UP. If it begins to rain once the moonwalk is set-up, every must exit the moonwalk and the blower unit unplugged. THE MOONWALK MUST NOT BE USED WHEN WET or WHEN WINDS ARE 25 MPH OR MORE. The moonwalk becomes very slippery and dangerous. Once the rain stops, you can dry the moonwalk with towels. Once dry, the moonwalk should be safe to use. Can a moonwalk be set-up indoors? Yes. Our moonwalks can be set-up indoors or outdoors. You will need at least 16 feet of ceiling clearance to accommodate a standard moonwalk. Our Mini Bouncer requires only 9 feet of ceiling clearance and works very well in a residential garage. The moonwalk must not be too close to any light fixtures, vents, or other fire hazard. Can a moonwalk be set-up on pavement? Yes, as long as the area is level and free of obstructions. We suggest that you sweep the area clean prior to our arrival. Please let us know when making your reservation so that we can bring along our sand bag anchoring system. How much space will I need? A 15’ x 15’ area or two parking spaces. The area should be free of debris, rock, sharp sticks and trees. We will not set-up the moonwalk under or near any electrical or telephone wires. If you have an underground sprinkler system, please make sure the timer is not set to go on. Be sure there are no underground irrigation pipes and/or buried telephone cables or electric lines close to the perimeter of the moonwalk site. We will use stakes to secure the moonwalk. Yards of Fun is not responsible for any damage when stakes are used. If you have a four-legged friend, please be sure that the area is free of their waste. If animal waste must be removed, please cover the spot to protect our equipment from residue. If setting-up on grass, please allow two days from cutting the grass prior to set-up to avoid grass clippings being tracked into the moonwalk. We can set-up on grass, pavement or indoors. How safe is a moonwalk?
Who sets up the moonwalk? A representative of Yards of Fun sets-up the moonwalk and returns at the end of the rental period to take it down. A clear path of at least 3 feet wide is necessary for delivery and removal of the moonwalk. If there are any large hills we may ask you for a bit of help to go up the hill with our hand truck. We ask that if you are finished with the moonwalk and wish to shut down the blower that you leave the unit plugged in. We must inflate the moonwalk before it is removed so we can inspect and do a preliminary cleaning of the moonwalk. Is there a delivery charge? Delivery is free to most cities within our service area. Please call for further details. How long does it take to set-up a moonwalk? It takes about 20-30 minutes to set-up the unit and review the safety guidelines. How does the moonwalk stay inflated? Yards of Fun sets-up and inflates the moonwalk with a fully enclosed blower motor unit that must stay powered on the entire time the moonwalk is being used. The design of the blower is such that no moving parts are exposed. This is a very important safety feature that you should take into account whenever considering a rental. The blower unit must be located within 75 feet of a standard 110 volt electrical outlet. What are my responsibilities as the renter of the moonwalk? A responsible adult must be assigned to supervise the children while the moonwalk is in use. The adult must know all of the safety rules and also be the enforcer of these rules. The renter is responsible for the safety of the children and the care of the unit. Do I need to clean the moonwalk when the party is over? All reasonable cleaning will be done by Yards of Fun. The moonwalk will be inspected by a Yards of Fun representative at time of pick-up and is expected to be in the condition in which it was received. ABSOLUTELY NO “SILLY STRING”, SMOKING, GUM, CANDY, FOOD OR OTHER STICKY SUBSTANCES ARE ALLOWED IN OR AROUND THE MOONWALK. |
